Position Overview
Body of Soul LMT is seeking a professional, licensed massage therapist or registered nurse certified in lymphatic drainage therapy to join our growing team as an on-call subcontractor. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional post-operative and wellness services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, hygiene, and client care.
This role requires proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, online booking platforms, and familiarity with all services offered at Body of Soul LMT. You will be responsible for client documentation, scheduling, and ensuring every client’s experience aligns with our premium brand standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Post-Operative Lymphatic Drainage Massage following proper medical and ethical protocols.
- Deliver Manual Body Sculpting and Contouring (Wood Therapy) sessions.
- Administer Infrared Sauna Bag Services, ION Red Light Therapy, and assist with Pre/Post-Op Consultations.
- Perform B12 and Semaglutide (GP1) Injections if properly licensed and credentialed.
- Educate clients on aftercare, Arnica Oil usage, and Compression Garments.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system (Kalix Health or equivalent).
- Manage appointment booking, client notes, and treatment plans through BOS’s digital scheduling tools.
- Adhere to all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming environment consistent with BOS brand standards.
- Collaborate with the owner and team to ensure seamless client service delivery.
Licensing & Certification Requirements (Michigan)
Candidates must meet one of the following based on services provided:
Massage Therapist Licensing
- Hold a current Michigan State Massage Therapy License issued by the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy.
- Be Certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) from a recognized institution (Vodder, Chikly, Klose, or equivalent).
- Maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Hold Liability Insurance meeting Michigan state requirements.
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Hold a current Michigan Nursing License in good standing.
- Possess Lymphatic Drainage or Post-Operative Massage Certification (required).
- Be trained and authorized to administer injections under Michigan law (for Vitamin B12 or Semaglutide services).
Additional Compliance
- HIPAA Certification (or completed training within 30 days of onboarding).
- Bloodborne Pathogens and Universal Precautions training.
- Infection Control and OSHA PPE compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on massage therapy or medical experience (post-op or aesthetic field preferred).
- Experience with post-surgical clients (BBL, Tummy Tuck, Lipo 360, etc.) highly desired.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Kalix Health, SimplePractice, Jane App, etc.) and online booking systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and post-operative recovery care.
- Must maintain cleanliness, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
Compensation
- Pay Range: $30–$45 per session (commensurate with experience and credentials).
- Compensation is per service completed, with additional pay for travel or extended sessions when applicable.
- Subcontractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and licensing upkeep.
Schedule
- On-call availability (flexible schedule based on client bookings).
- Must be available to accept appointments on short notice when needed.
- Weekend and evening availability preferred.
